Historic communities, such as Lafayette Square, have homes that need special care and attention, and sometimes, a rare flooring material is used.
Amant’s Floor Care has the knowledge, skills, and equipment other floor cleaning companies lack.ย Many are not backed by half a century of historic floor cleaning service, nor do they possess the knowledge that the owner of Amant’s Floor Care possesses.
Amant’s Floor Care has worked in some of the region’s most prestigious homes and commercial properties and is regularly consulted by some of the region’s most respected property management companies.
Amant’s Floor Care has earned this reputation by being in business since 1969.ย Steven Amant founded the company.
In 1996, Steven’s son, Kevin Amant, joined the company with the desire and vision to launch a hard surface division of Amant’s Carpet Cleaning.
He trained for weeks at the N.T.C. (National Training Center) to learn how to restore, clean, and protect hard surface floors such as marble, granite, limestone, travertine, terrazzo, and tile.
Kevin successfully managed the division until 1996.ย Steven Amant’s father decided to retire and sold the company to Kevin Amant, who still owns and operates it daily.
Today, his technician are trained with the same knowledge and skills and equipped with the best equipment and vehicles to perform their projects at their highest level.ย However, please read on to read what others say about Amant’s Floor Care.
Amant’s Floor Care’s top priority is customer satisfaction, so they offer the “Satisfaction Guarantee,” designed to comfort customers and ensure they get what they expect or more.
Amant’s Floor Care owner, Kevin Amant, will inspect each job and carefully analyze the need to restore, clean, and protect the floors.ย He will then follow up with a written estimate detailing the project and a price to complete the work.

Since 1969, Amant’s Floor Care has provided award-winning floor cleaning and carpet cleaning services to the St. Louis, Missouri, region and surrounding communities.
ST. LOUIS, MO (FloorCleaningStLouis)ย Amantโs Floor Care has provided professional floor cleaning and carpet cleaning services throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area since 1969. Now celebrating 57 years in business, the family-owned company provides residential and commercial customers with professional carpet cleaning, marble and natural stone cleaning and restoration, tile and grout cleaning and sealing, terrazzo cleaning, wood floor cleaning, vinyl floor cleaning, and upholstery cleaning.
What began as a St. Louis carpet cleaning business more than half a century ago has developed into a comprehensive floor-care company with experience maintaining many of the flooring materials found in today’s homes and commercial properties.
Amantโs Floor Care serves customers throughout St. Louis, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, and surrounding communities in Missouri and Illinois.
After 57 years, our objective remains straightforward: provide professional workmanship, dependable service, and floor-care solutions appropriate for the surface being cleaned.
Customer satisfaction is guaranteed.
57 Years of Floor Cleaning in St. Louis
Steven Amant started the business in 1969, focusing on professional carpet cleaning.
Much has changed since then.
Flooring products have evolved. Cleaning equipment has improved dramatically. Natural stone has become increasingly popular in residential and commercial properties. New flooring materials have entered the market, and customers have become more knowledgeable about the importance of using appropriate cleaning methods for different surfaces.
Amantโs has evolved along with the industry.
The company’s capabilities expanded beyond carpet into specialized hard-surface floor cleaning and restoration. Today, Amantโs provides professional care for carpet, marble, natural stone, terrazzo, ceramic tile and grout, wood and vinyl, and upholstery.
That history matters because professional floor cleaning isn’t simply a matter of buying a machine and cleaning every floor the same way.
Different surfaces require different knowledge, equipment, products, and procedures.
After more than five decades in the business, Amantโs has encountered a tremendous variety of flooring materials, conditions, and cleaning challenges in residential and commercial properties throughout the St. Louis region.
Professional Carpet Cleaning in St. Louis
Carpet cleaning is where Amantโs began in 1969, and it remains one of our primary services 57 years later.
Carpet receives constant use. Foot traffic can gradually introduce soil and debris into carpet fibers, while spills and heavily traveled areas can affect its appearance.
Routine vacuuming is an important part of maintaining carpet, but periodic professional cleaning provides a deeper clean than ordinary household maintenance.
Amantโs provides professional residential and commercial carpet cleaning in St. Louis and throughout the metropolitan area.
Our experienced technicians work with professional cleaning equipment and bring decades of combined experience to the job.
Carpet cleaning may have been the beginning of the Amantโs story, but it ultimately became the foundation for a much broader floor-care business.
Marble and Natural Stone Cleaning and Restoration
Marble and natural stone can be among the most beautiful surfaces in a property, but they require knowledgeable maintenance.
Natural stone is different from manufactured flooring. Using the wrong product or cleaning method can damage the stone’s appearance instead of improving it.
Amantโs provides professional marble and natural stone cleaning, polishing, sealing, maintenance, and restoration services for St. Louis-area residential and commercial properties.
Our hard-surface experience includes materials such as marble, granite, limestone, travertine, and other natural stone surfaces.
The appropriate procedure depends upon the material and its condition. A surface that simply needs professional cleaning may require a very different approach from a stone floor that has become dull, scratched, or otherwise needs restoration.
That is why experience matters.
Our objective is to evaluate the existing surface and determine the right process, rather than treating every hard floor as though it were identical.
Ceramic Tile and Grout Cleaning and Sealing
Ceramic tile is durable and widely used in St. Louis homes and businesses, but grout can be one of the hardest parts of the floor to maintain.
Routine mopping may clean the tile surface without adequately addressing soil and discoloration that accumulate in grout lines.
Amantโs provides professional tile and grout cleaning in St. Louis, along with grout sealing when appropriate.
Professional cleaning can dramatically improve the overall appearance of tiled kitchens, bathrooms, entryways, hallways, and commercial areas.
Once the grout has been properly cleaned, sealing may also help protect it and make routine maintenance easier.
Terrazzo Floor Cleaning and Care
Terrazzo is known for its durability and long service life, but even extremely durable flooring needs proper maintenance.
Amantโs provides professional terrazzo floor cleaning, polishing, and maintenance for residential and commercial properties throughout the St. Louis area.
Older commercial buildings and other properties may have terrazzo in place for decades. Proper professional care can help restore and maintain its appearance rather than unnecessarily replacing a floor designed to provide many years of service.
The company’s hard-surface experience allows our technicians to approach terrazzo as a specialized flooring material rather than simply another surface to mop or scrub.
Professional Wood Floor Cleaning
Wood flooring can be a significant investment and an important part of a home’s or commercial property’s character.
Amantโs provides professional wood floor cleaning and maintenance services throughout the St. Louis region.
Wood requires a different approach from stone, tile, or carpet. Excessive moisture, inappropriate chemicals, or abrasive cleaning methods can potentially affect the surface.
Professional maintenance should therefore begin with understanding the floor and its condition.
Our goal is to clean and maintain wood flooring using methods appropriate for the surface while helping customers preserve the appearance of their floors.
Vinyl Floor Cleaning
Vinyl flooring is common in residential and commercial environments because it offers durability and practical everyday performance.
Heavy traffic and accumulated soil, however, can gradually affect its appearance.
Amantโs provides professional vinyl floor cleaning and maintenance for St. Louis-area customers.
Commercial properties, in particular, may experience significant foot traffic that requires more than routine maintenance.
Professional cleaning can remove accumulated soil and improve the appearance of an existing vinyl floor, potentially helping property owners get more value from the flooring they already own.
Professional Upholstery Cleaning
Our professional cleaning services extend beyond floors.
Amantโs also provides upholstery cleaning for St. Louis-area residential and commercial customers.
Furniture receives frequent use and can accumulate soil, spills, and other contaminants over time. Professional upholstery cleaning can refresh upholstered furniture while complementing professionally cleaned carpeting and flooring.
For customers already scheduling carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning offers a convenient way to address several heavily used interior surfaces in the same overall cleaning project.
Residential Floor Cleaning Services
A modern home may contain several completely different flooring materials.
One property could have carpet in the bedrooms, wood in living areas, ceramic tile in the kitchen, marble in a bathroom, and natural stone in an entryway.
Those surfaces should not necessarily be cleaned using the same products or procedures.
Amantโs broad range of professional floor-care services lets homeowners work with an experienced company that can service multiple flooring materials.
Our residential services can include:
Carpet cleaning
Marble cleaning and restoration
Natural stone cleaning and care
Tile and grout cleaning and sealing
Terrazzo cleaning
Wood floor cleaning
Vinyl floor cleaning
Upholstery cleaning
Whether the project involves one room or several surfaces throughout a property, our objective is to understand the customer’s needs and recommend the right service.
Commercial Floor Cleaning in St. Louis
Commercial flooring presents different challenges.
Offices, retail properties, public spaces, and other commercial buildings may experience considerably heavier foot traffic than the typical residence. Appearance also matters because flooring contributes to the impression a property makes on employees, tenants, customers, and visitors.
Amantโs has experience working with commercial properties and professional property managers throughout the St. Louis region.
The company has provided services in a variety of residential and commercial environments, including high-value properties where dependable service and appropriate floor-care procedures are particularly important.
Commercial customers may also have multiple flooring materials within a single building, making broad floor-care expertise valuable.
Experienced Floor Cleaning Technicians
Equipment matters, but the person operating that equipment matters just as much.
Amantโs places considerable value on experienced employees and has historically maintained low employee turnover. Some technicians have reached approximately 30 years of service with the company.
That type of experience is difficult to replace.
An experienced floor-care technician has encountered different flooring materials, stains, traffic conditions, and property environments over many years of fieldwork.
That knowledge matters, especially with natural stone and specialty hard surfaces, where the wrong procedure can create more problems than it solves.
We believe experienced people are one of the most important investments a professional service company can make.
Professional Floor Cleaning Equipment
Amantโs also invests in professional cleaning equipment and service vehicles.
Reliable equipment helps technicians work efficiently and reduces the chance of equipment problems interfering with scheduled service.
But equipment alone does not determine the quality of professional floor cleaning.
The cleaning system must suit the material and be operated by someone who understands how to use it properly.
Amantโs combines professional equipment with experienced technicians and decades of knowledge developed through real-world floor-care projects.
Why Choose Amantโs Floor Care?
Customers have many choices when searching for a floor cleaning company in St. Louis.
We believe Amantโs offers several meaningful reasons to consider us.

BBB Accredited With an A+ Rating
Independent information can also help customers evaluate a service company.
Amantโs Floor Care is a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating. The Better Business Bureau reports that Amantโs has been accredited since February 2016 and confirms that the company began operating locally in 1969.
The BBB also identifies Amantโs in several service categories, including floor cleaning, carpet and rug cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, hardwood floor maintenance, upholstery cleaning, natural stone cleaning and marble cleaning.
That independent business history matters because longevity should be verifiable, not just an advertising claim.
Customer Relationships That Span Years
One of the most meaningful measures of a service business is whether customers come back.
Amantโs has received testimonials from customers describing relationships with the company extending for many years.
One published customer testimonial describes using Amantโs for carpet and upholstery cleaning for more than 15 years. Another describes hiring the company for ceramic tile and grout cleaning and praising the technician’s professionalism and the finished floor.
Repeat business is particularly important to a locally owned service company.
A customer who initially hires Amantโs for carpet cleaning may later need tile and grout cleaned, wood flooring maintained, upholstery cleaned, or natural stone restored.
Our goal is not simply to complete one transaction. We want to become the floor-care company customers feel comfortable calling again when another need arises.
Serving the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area
Amantโs Floor Care provides professional floor cleaning throughout the greater St. Louis region.
Our service territory includes St. Louis, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, and surrounding areas in Missouri and Illinois.
Communities served include Chesterfield, Clayton, Creve Coeur, Frontenac, Kirkwood, Ladue, Manchester, Maplewood, Town and Country, Webster Groves, Wildwood, St. Charles, and many others throughout the metropolitan area.
Our location in West St. Louis County gives Amantโs convenient access to communities throughout the region while allowing the company to maintain its longstanding local presence.
Customers can visit our complete service-area page to determine whether their community is included.
Experience Cannot Be Created Overnight
Companies advertise floor or carpet cleaning services.
Advertising, however, is not the same thing as experience.
A business can purchase equipment, build a website and begin advertising almost immediately. It cannot purchase 57 years of operating history.
It cannot instantly create technicians with decades of experience.
It cannot manufacture longstanding relationships with customers.
And it cannot recreate more than half a century of working with the flooring materials found in St. Louis homes and commercial properties.
Amantโs doesn’t expect customers to hire us simply because we call ourselves the best.
We believe customers should consider experience, longevity, professional qualifications, independent ratings, appropriate insurance, customer feedback, equipment, the services offered, and whether a company stands behind its work.
Those factors provide a much more useful way to evaluate a professional floor cleaning company.
Celebrating 57 Years Serving St. Louis
In 2026, Amantโs Floor Care celebrates 57 years in business.
That anniversary represents thousands of projects, decades of changes in the floor-care industry and generations of St. Louis-area customers.
The company has evolved substantially from the carpet cleaning business Steven Amant started in 1969.
What has not changed is the importance of doing quality work and protecting the reputation attached to the Amant family name.
Today, Amantโs continues serving residential and commercial customers with professional carpet cleaning and a comprehensive range of hard-surface floor cleaning and restoration services.
We appreciate the customers who have trusted us with their homes and businesses throughout the past 57 years and look forward to continuing to serve the St. Louis metropolitan area.
